I know now that when you come out of a shitty situation where you lose a part of yourself or something or someone who is important to you, you begin to appreciate the things you would have taken for granted in the past. Great moments become huge moments, kind gestures translate into thoughtfulness that you can't even describe, simple pleasures become valuable and the decisions you make going forward are most often thought out or devilishly spontaneous-and always for the best.

Cas-just a little advice and this is only as a friend. I didn't mean it the way it sounded...sleep with anyone you want. But as ur friend and as an old friend of ur ex, I can't recommend in good conscience that you go home with a guy who screws a minimum of three girs a week and drinks a minimum of one bottle of vodka a day.

I guess this whole "booty call" thing is getting to be a little more than i expected. Im really starting to feel a lot more for him then I thought! eek- He called me today and I dont like to admit it and it sounds very cliche, but cliches become cliches because they happen: when I heard his voice my stomach jumped. =)
I just dont want to get too close..ive been hurt before and he says he really cares about me but for some reason i feel like pushing him away. We've just been spending so much time together and been talking so much..i dont want to get hurt this time. It's like the more you learn about someone and the closer you get to them, the harder you fall when they reach out and rip the rug out from under you. I dont want that to happen...
so anyway-feeling a little blah today I went to the video store and am making this a ME night! =) I rented-The End of the Affair, Affair to Remember, Love Story, Jane Eyre. I wonder if there's a trend here. I remember reading once that a lot of what we choose to watch or read is meant to make us feel better about our own lives by seeing other people's fumbles and failures and being glad it's them and not us. I suppose films about other people's forbidden affairs provide a sort of solace.

Today is just a blah day...i feel like i have to try so hard to be perfect in the world i live in. I'm his daughter so i have to be seen as smart...fashionable...witty...and whatever the hell else they want me to be. Can't let dad down...or the whole world might know about it.
In my bed there are no psychologists, no job interviewers, no hypocrites. I do not have to make up lists of ways to do this and that. I do not have to smile, I do not have to justify my beliefs. I do not have to wear dress shoes. I dont have to plege allegiance to the flag. I dont have to use a number two pencil. I dont have to read the fine print. I dont have to sell fifty boxes of mint cookies. I dont have to be over five foot four to ride. I dont have to leave off the last s for savings.
It is true that laying in bed is not an intellectual activity. It is true that it is nonproductive.
But when ninety-five percent of out-of-bed activities hold the possibility of pain, to be pain-free is simply the most delicious feeling in the world.

ok ok I have to admit last night was fucking rad....I actually had a great valentine's day and birthday! I had a surprise party, which was actually really surprising cause its v-day and usually everyone just does dinner and leaves with their sweeties....but it was awesome-we danced the night away and i got some pretty siick presents (lets just say i got a few of my favorite Louis V items :)) then of course i can't leave out the great night I had with the guy that might be more than what i thought he was. ...Its days like these that make you feel like ur on top of the world and nothing could go wrong.
oooooo and I got the necklace and bracelet from Tiffs that I wanted....I'm such a spoiled bitch sometimes! :) I love it. Hey i'm sorry but I think I deserve it after making 4.0 last semester @ NYU and working my ass off for it!
so today I was a little hung over so I got some much needed rest...and now soon i'm off to meet the girls at Tavern!....hope everyone had a good day yesterday! =)

V-day (my b-day)-
why is it that every Feb.14 I am not in a steady relationship? I think i am meant to be alone on these holidays forever....but i know that if I had someone i'd be oh so happy. So I think tonight after my big anual family and friend bday dinner, I will spend this romantic holiday with my "booty call"....hey even if i dont get all the mushy gushy v day stuff...at least ill be having good sex! woo woo =)
